The Project Manager is responsible for managing complete projects, cradle to grave, for the implementation of Oracle ERP applications at our clients. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall on-time, on-budget delivery of successful Oracle Application implementations. It will involve working closely with Client Executives to qualify business opportunities and then to take over management of the client implementation.  It will involve C-level solution-oriented understanding for a broad range of Oracle products in targeted markets.  The Project Manager will apply their skills to develop and implement a winning strategy to ensure success of DAZ projects.

The Oracle Applications Project Manager must have at least 5 years experience implementing and/or managing rapid Oracle ERP Applications with at least three years of Project Management experience in implementing Oracle ERP applications (during which you were responsible for a minimum of 3 individual contributors). 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development of detailed project plan, budget, and task management to achieve project objectives.
  • Responsible for overall success of the implementation.
  • Review, analyze and evaluate business systems, tools and information needs for project scope
  • Provide status reporting to executive management and team on progress toward objectives. Prepare and maintain documentation of project activities such as weekly status letters, steering committee meetings, business process meetings.
  • Make decisions escalated from functional teams and escalate to Steering Committee as needed.
  • Manage and ensure all project issues are resolved promptly to avoid negative impact to the budget or schedule.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on implementation methodologies and internal project processes.
  • Develop, maintain and report project progress metrics.
  • Keep current with Oracle product release information including sales materials, product roadmap, features, applications, and versions of software.
  • Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings and conference calls.
  • Expanding the revenue base in existing customers in the territory by making new executive and managerial contacts and making sure that the account remains satisfied with our products and services.

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years Oracle Apps implementation experience
  • Minimum of 3 years Project Management Experience. 
  • Best Practices for manufacturing and distribution.
  • Managing implementation teams including client personnel and interacting with senior client management.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to coordinate with colleagues and provide leadership in preparing for presentations and responding to customer's questions.
  • Use of Microsoft Project, estimating of tasks, scheduling of tasks, juggling resources and priorities.
  • You must also possess strong language skills and feel comfortable with the realities of consulting- writing requirements and specifications, tight schedules, meetings with management at customer sites, handling tough questions and committee-situations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • An undergraduate degree is required.
  • Must be willing to travel.
